Why does Keeper charge for premium features?
Unlike other fantasy games that are backed by large organisations, Keeper relies on the support of it's amazing members to sustain its operations. It is a necessity to make sure we can continue to push the frontier of what draft fantasy AFL can be.
While this might come in the form of slightly higher league fees (no more than shouting us a pint!), it comes with amazing benefits too:
- Firstly, you're directly supporting our team who are working full-time on developing the platform into something all fantasy draft fans will absolutely love.
- Secondly, when something goes wrong, you get immediate support from the development team and don't have to wade through customer support agents.
- Finally and most importantly, being member supported means we work for you. This means we have the freedom to evolve the game rapidly based on what you ask for, and without the limitations that prevent larger organisations from truly supporting their members in the way that's required.
Do we pay individually or as a league?
League upgrades are paid via a single payment from your league commissioner. First select between Pro or Ultimate, then we'll calculate the total cost by applying the cost per team to the number of teams in your league.
For example, a league of 10 teams upgrading to a Pro subscription ($8 per team) would be charged $80 for the season. Your league commissioner would make this payment on behalf of the coaches.
Do you offer any discounts?
We know that times are tough, and the last thing we want is to turn away fantasy fans based on cost. For this reason we have a few ways to offer support to those who might need it.
50% Multi-Team Discount
Supporting the most dedicated fantasy players is very important to us. You're the reason we exist.
As such, once you have three teams in leagues that have completed payment, any additional team you own will receive a 50% discount when the commissioner of that league goes to checkout.
Free for Students
We want to share Keeper with the next generation of fantasy fans. If you're a secondary school student looking to start a league with your mates, shoot us a message with verification and we'll provide you with full access to features all season long.
Community Leagues
If you're starting a league for a good cause, or have extenuating circumstances that would make it hard to collect payments from league members, please contact us to see if we can help.
How long do upgrades last?
Upgrades cover the current season, including the offseason period at the end of the year. Once the following season begins in late December, you can choose to renew if you like.
I'm in a DT Shiva league and paid entry, do I also need to pay for Keeper?
No. We're proud to support DT Shiva by providing leagues free of charge. So if you've joined a DT Shiva league and completed payment through them, no further cost will apply for your team on Keeper.
